Banjo, my sassy orange Isuzu Amigo is now back after my hero Charlie repaired/replaced the head gasket. What perfect timing, too, since our truck refused to start when we were coming home from the Rodeo Cafe. So, this blog entry is dedicated to my heroes: Adele, who gave us a ride home from the Rodeo Cafe, Jim and Mary who loaned us their truck so we could go get hay, Bill who trailored our truck from the cafe to Ford in Lordsburg, and Charlie who brought back my amigo in the nick of time. How perfect was that?

Every morning I begin my day by acknowledging the many blessings I have been given in my life, the most recent blessing that of meeting my friend and kindred spirit, Dori. Dori is now living in our little cottage (with her dog, Girl) extending to us her heart, friendship, and hard working assistance with making improvements on the property. And, she makes incredibly delicious food, or “grub” as Dori calls it. Here she is with Girl, bringing over a fantastic lemon cake.
