We couldn’t resist taking this picture of Shammie who is resting his head on the window sill, wanting to be in the truck having an adventure.

This little guy (or gal) seemed a bit put out that all the attention was going to the owls. He seemed to be posing for the camera, so we had to include him in the photo session.

We were finally able to get a picture of a Burrowing Owl. There are several burrows near us where a large commune of owls live. They seem to be shy and elusive so this was quite an accomplishment.

Or as Dori said when she first saw our place, “Kathleen, you are one lucky broad.” Indeed, I am very blessed to be surrounded by beauty and to be able to share this life with Chris and the critters.

Beautiful wildflowers have been gracing our property for the past several weeks.
