Back home

Friday, July 28th, 2006

I arrived back home last Sunday after my final week of classes in Santa Barbara.  I bid a tearful farewell to my wonderful companions.  After two very intense years I have made several close friendships and it is difficult to imagine not seeing my kindred spirits until next May when we meet for graduation.  On the positive side, no more long drives to the airport and sleepless nights in the dorm room (where I managed to lock myself out in the middle of the night, TWICE, the second time wearing only a tee-shirt that said “Kiss me, I’m a blood donor” and martini print underwear…can only wonder what was running through the security officer’s head as he escorted me back to my room to unlock the door) and no more 13 hour days spent in a classroom.  It has been a long journey, and one that is not quite over yet as I have one more class to complete via mail, and that teensy little thesis project.  I cannot begin to thank my wonderful hubby and parents enough for all their support through the past two years.  Phew!! We did it!

Now I can delve more deeply into New Mexico living, and enjoy early morning moons such as this one:

It didn’t rain on our parade.
